Grimethorpe Colliery Band is set to make an entry into the world of high profile pop music after their latest collaborating with singer/songwriters Alistair Griffin and Leddra Chapman.

The One

The much anticipated song entitled, 'The One' has had its official release this week, although it has already had a lot of airtime on BBC Radio 2 after catching the ear of presenters Chris Evans, Jo Whiley and Steve Wright.

SHine a light

Alistair Griffin told 4BR: "The idea behind the project was to shine a light on what Grimethorpe do and show brass bands to a new audience. For me personally it was a privilege to work with the band.

I’m huge fan, and their musicianship, skill and commitment is something else."
