Denton Brass has announced that they have appointed a new MD in Marcus Jones following the departure of former conductor Jessica Tredrea.

Band Chairman Paul Keogh told 4BR: "We wish to thank Jess for her work over the past year helping us to vastly improve. We feel that in Marcus we have someone who can bring long term stability to the band helping us continue that work."

Marcus returns to banding after a short break. He worked successfully with Whaley Bridge and has been involved in the North West banding scene at all levels as a player and MD.

Debut

The first engagement together for the new combination will be a concert in Denton on September 21st , where they will play their own choice test piece as preparation for the Fleetwood Open the following weekend.
