British Open test piece composer Stephen Roberts has identified three small errata that competing bands should take note of ahead of their performances of ‘Arabian Nights’ at Symphony Hall on Saturday 7th September.
Errata:
Bar 41: Euph 2 raise D to D sharp at second half of bar (i.e. the D on dotted quaver should be D sharp)
Bars 388-9 and 392-3: Euph 2 should be D not E (i.e put down a tone)
Percussion pattern is incorrect after bar 396 to change of key at 6/4.
It should correlate with pattern of band as in Rimsky's original score. Note empty bars for timps.
