Foden’s have announced their programme for the 2013 Great Northern Brass Arts Festival at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on Saturday 14th September.
Fowles directs
Just a week after they defend the first trophy from their historic ‘Double’ winning season last year, they will be directed by Michael Fowles for the evening Gala Concert starting at 7.15pm, which will also feature Black Dyke.
Foden’s will commence their programme with ‘Le Carnival Romain’ and will conclude with Howard Snell’s transcription of Ravel’s ‘Bacchanale’ from ‘Daphnis et Chloe' on which they claimed the National title at the Royal Albert Hall in 2012.
Soloists
Mark Wilkinson will perform Eric Ball’s ‘Glory to his Name’, Lesley Poole will play ‘And Everything is Still’ by Andy Scott, whilst percussionists Mark Landon and Anthony Mann will entertain with ‘Liszteria’ by Sandy Smith.
