Tovey flies in for National Youth concerts

Bram Tovey has flown into Yorkshire to lead the National Youth Band of Great Britain on its Summer Course.

The National Youth Band of Great Britain is currently enjoying its Summer Curse under the baton of Bramwell Tovey at Giggleswick School in North Yorkshire.

Blossom

The Music Director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is joined by guest soloist Sheona White.

Dr Robert Childs put the band through its paces in preparation for his arrival yesterday following his appearance with the Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Festival, one of the oldest and most important festivals in the United States.

Concerts

This year’s course is the 124th in the organisation’s history and will culminate in concerts at The Dolphin Centre in Darlington on Friday 9th August and the following day at The Royal Hall in Harrogate. Both concerts start at 7.30pm.

Boarshurst Silver Band

February 17 • Boarshurst Silver Band, NW Championship Section, requires a BBb player, flugel, and front row cornet player. Under MD Jamie Prophet, the band have an ambitious and varied calendar for 2025, including NW Area, Spring Festival and Whit Friday.


Mid Rhondda Band
