RAF trombone star Jonathan Pippen set to take up conducting duties at Staines Brass.

Staines Brass has announced the appointment of their new MD, Jonathan Pippen with immediate effect.

The star trombonist of the Central Band of the RAF (below right of image) has been working closely with the band in recent months since former MD Melvin White’s departure.

Wonderful musician

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Jonathan is a wonderful musician and has already built a good working relationship with our members.

The band is looking forward to working with him and hope that we have a bright and successful future ahead."

First appearance

He will his first official concert appearance with Staines will be in September at a concert to say farewell to Melvin and Suzanne White.
