‘Daneholme’, a new march written by composer Chris North received its first performance in a concert given by Daventry Brass as part of the Daventry Festival on the weekend.

Composer

Chris is the principal cornet player of Daventry Brass, and in addition to his day job, is proprietor and editor of Danetre Music.

The original Daventry band room was in the centre the town and had been earmarked for a proposed redevelopment project and as a result, the local council agreed to build a new hall, a little further from the town centre.

The band has now been in occupation at their new headquarters on Daneholme Close for just under two years, and so it was felt the time was right to produce a brand new march4BR
