Once again there is a great little prize package sponsored by our friends at Ev-entz — as long as you can make an informed musical guess about this weekend’s English National Championship in Birmingham.
Prize package
You can get your hands on 4 bottles of Blue Juice valve oil and neat TGI metronome and tuner, as well as a copy of Black Dyke’s George Lloyd CD ‘English Heritage’, conducted by David King and Jean Pierre Chevailler’s ‘The Classic Euphonium’ CD which is conducted by the composer himself.
The 1991 Dyke release features performances of ‘Diversions on a Bass Theme’ as well as ‘Royal Parks’, ‘HMS Trinidad’, ‘Evening Song’ and the title track, ‘English Heritage’, whilst the 1989 euphonium release includes works by Haendel, Mozart and Danzi.
Take your pick
All you have to do is pick the test piece that will catch the ears of the judges and come out on top in the own choice section of the contest on the weekend.
