Fundraisers for the Clarence Adoo Trust have announced that their next recording in aid of the ongoing care for the highly respected musician will be entitled, ‘Melodies from the Great Composers’.
Recording
The recording will be a collection of classical transcriptions and arrangements published by the Salvation Army and performed by the Co-operative Funeralcare Band led by conductor John Ward.
Besson (Buffet Group Wind Instruments) is once again supporting the project with two of its stable of world class endorsees, Owen Farr and Dávur Juul Magnussen performing concertinos on the release.
The recording will be undertaken in Glasgow in October with works from Purcell, Beethoven, Shostakovich, Elgar and Grieg also featured.
