World renowned tuba star Ewan Easton to lead a fantastic John Packer Brass Band Workshop Day in Cumbria this weekend.

There is another fantastic John Packer Brass Band Workshop taking place on Sunday 9th June – this time in Cumbria.

Brilliant

The brilliant event will be led by tuba virtuoso Ewan Easton MBE, one of the world’s most renowned brass instrumentalists and a leading teacher and tutor.

It all kicks off at 10.30am at St Pius X Catholic Primary School in Cumbria (LA14 4AA) where you can enjoy a full day of expert tuition, meeting new players and learn a range of exciting performance pieces.

Young and old

Ewan will help players young and old thanks to his years of experience as Principal Tuba with the Hallé Orchestra and as a tutor at the RNCM, Manchester University and Director of Hallé4Brass.

He has previously held the position of Principal Tuba with the Ulster Orchestra Belfast and has been involved with brass bands since his early teens, culminating with him playing for Brighouse & Rastrick Band whilst studying at the RNCM.

Beginner or experienced

The day will include the formation of two ensembles so whether you are a beginner or more experienced, there is sure to be something to challenge you.
