Brighouse Lions has announced that Geneva Instruments have agreed a deal to become the main sponsor of the popular Brighouse march & hymn tune event.
Symphony prize
To back up their support, Geneva’s John Hudson will be in attendance on the 30th June to present the latest ‘Symphony’ Cornet to a lucky band at this year’s 14th March & Hymn tune contest on Sunday 30th June.
Progressive support
Speaking on behalf of the Lions, David Horsfield told 4BR: "The support from this progressive company is much appreciated and this will enhance the Festival which has become one of the most popular events of its kind.

This year’s Festival of Brass promises to be another feast of brass music making with the main contest entry already full with a maximum of 26 bands — from Youth to Championship Section.
The action begins at 1.00pm with entries from all parts of Yorkshire, Lancashire, the Midlands, Cheshire and North Wales.
The adjudicators are: Alan Morrison, Jappie Dijkstra and Dennis Wilby with MC Fred Etherington.
Boobs & Brass
Guests for the popular Gala Concert on Saturday 29th June will be the wonderful girls from Boobs & Brass who will providing their unique brand of entertainment and in the process raising funds for Breast Cancer charities.
The event takes place at the Central Methodist Church at 7.30pm under guest conductor Dennis Wilby.

Yorkshire Solo Championships
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Solo Championships will be held once again in the Bailiff Bridge Community Centre on Sunday 6th October in an event organised by Brighouse Lions and Clifton & Lightcliffe Band.
