Anna retraces footsteps back to Sandbach

Anna Hughes-Williams will be making a welcome return to Foden's Band.

Foden's has announced that former cornet player Anna Hughes-Williams has made a welcome return to the band.

Solo cornet

Anna will rejoin the 2012 Double Champions on the solo cornet bench for what will be her third spell with the Sandbach band.

Speaking about Anna’s return, principal cornet Mark Wilkinson commented to 4BR: "We are extremely pleased that Anna is coming back to Foden's. She first joined in 1989 under Howard Snell and stayed up to 1992 before moving to enjoy success with Wingates and YBS before returning in 2004."

Footsteps

He added: "Anna left again in 2008 to concentrate on her work with Bolton Music Services, so to regain her experience and talent will be a huge asset to the band.

She also follows in the footsteps of other experienced players Phil Green and Paul Taylor who have also returned back to us."
