For the fourth consecutive year Black Dyke principal cornet player Richard Marshall will be hosting a Cornet Spotlight, which will take place at Leeds Town Hall on Sunday 19th May as part of the high profile 2013 Black Dyke Festival.
Plenty to enjoy
And Richard told 4BR that there will be plenty of things to enjoy during a packed morning session.
"I have decided to start proceedings with a performance by the cornet students of the RNCM directed by myself. Following that there will be a massed warm up and rehearsal on a brand new commission by talented young composer Andrew Stevenson."
Questions
The Q&A session this year will give delegates the opportunity to put the Black Dyke player under the spotlight. "They can ask me anything they like," Richard added.
There is a nominal charge of £5.00 for the event which will finish in plenty of time to hear Black Dyke are performing their Festival concert in the Town Hall the same afternoon.
There is still time to get in touch and book your place, so contact Richard on: richard.b.marshall@btinternet.com with your details.
