Grant boost for M3 & M4 expansion

The growing ranks of the M3 & M4 Bands at City of Cardiff have received a grant boost for new instruments.

City of Cardiff Youth Brass Festival
 

The City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Band has been boosted by the news that they have been awarded a £2,500 instrument grant.

New instruments

The Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust grant will be used to buy new instruments for its Youth Band.

Following the success of the inaugural Youth Brass Festival last weekend in Cardiff, City of Cardiff M3 and M4 Bands are hopeful that this new award will come in handy as they look to of attracting even more new members to add to the over 120 already enjoying playing in the organisation.

This grant comes in recognition of the great work going on in the Melingriffith organisation and will enable us to grow even moreMD, Gareth Ritter

MD Gareth Ritter told 4BR: "This grant comes in recognition of the great work going on in the Melingriffith organisation and will enable us to grow even more.

It’s an exciting time in youth banding at the moment, and this money will help us to get even more young people involved in making music."
