An emergency response from Ev-entz has meant that potential disaster was averted for Master Champions Tredegar, as they put the final preparations in place for their latest CD recording of the music of Danish composer Jacob Larsen.
Stole
Thieves stole the gig bag containing the cornet, trumpet and flugel horn, plus mutes and mouthpieces of principal cornet Dewi Griffiths, just hours before the composer was due to fly in from Norway to listen to the band rehearse ahead of the recording sessions this weekend.
Thankfully, a quick telephone call to Ev-entz in Newport saw the emergency delivery of a pair of Prestige cornets, Courtois flugel horn and Yamaha trumpet – all brought direct to Tredegar’s bandroom in time for Dewi to play on.
Relieved
Tredegar MD, Ian Porthouse was especially relieved that a disaster had been averted so quickly.
"I can’t thank Ev-entz enough. One quick call to Adrian Evans and his team and everything was sorted. They even brought up two Prestige cornets to make sure Dewi had a choice."

Happy to help
Meanwhile, Adrian was only too happy to set his Ev-entz emergency services into operation.
"We are always on hand to help bands in any way we can – especially when something like this happens. We have an excellent relationship with Tredegar and are providing all their percussion requirements for the recording itself, so this was just part of the personal service we offer to all our customers."
