Strongest ever line up at Brass in Concert

Eight of the top 10 ranked bands in the world will battle it out for the Brass in Concert title this year.

The Sage Gateshead

The provisional line up of bands that will compete at this year’s Brass in Concert Championship has been announced.

Strongest field

Defending champion Cory will return to see if they can retain their title against one of the strongest fields ever assembled for the event, with no less than eight of the world’s top ranked bands set to battle it out at The Sage on 17th November.

Champions

These will include current ‘Double’ champions Foden’s, as well as last year’s podium finishers Leyland and Tredegar, Brighouse & Rastrick, Grimethorpe Colliery and Fairey.

The line up also sees the appearance of Butlins title holders Virtuosi GUS and the newly crowned Yorkshire Regional and Scottish champion duo of Carlton Main Frickley Colliery and Whitburn.

It is understood that the organisers are also looking at the possibility of adding another couple of bands to the list of competitors, with the final list and draw to be made later this year.
