During the recent Easter weekend, Shrewsbury Brass, conducted by Steve Pritchard-Jones joined forces with the RNLI for a tour of Scarborough and Whitby.
Warm welcomes
The band received warm welcomes in the Pavilion Theatre, Whitby, and a floating bandstand in Peasholm Park and at Albemarie Baptist Church, where they performed an eclectic programme of music including ‘Joy, Peace and Happiness’, ‘Nabucodonosor’, ‘A Time for Peace’, ‘Suite Gothique’, ‘Padstow Lifeboat’, ‘An Irish Blessing’, and a selection of swing music transformed into a three part choir to perform the South African hymn ‘Siyahamba’.
