Foden's announce percussion partnership

Double champions team up with Bergerault percussion.

Fodens in action

Foden's has announced that it has welcomed a new partner to its organisation in French percussion manufacturer, Bergerault.

Mark Landon, Foden's principal percussionist told 4BR: "Bergerault have provided several instruments to the band over the past 12 months, and the quality and sound is exactly what we were looking for."

Excellent service

He added: "We have received excellent service from Bergerault's distributor Jean Paul Ratajczak of Muremo, and now the partnership has developed where Bergerault and Muremo will be involved at this year’s Foden's Solo Contest in November."

Solo Contest bonus

Foden’s Andy Rolfe added: "This now means that the solo contest on 2nd November will feature tuned and un-classes and an ensemble class in addition to the successful brass classes already in place.

This year’s contest will also see some new and exciting prizes to the lucky winners. We can't say anymore at the moment but watch out for further news."

Perfect

Meanwhile, Jean Paul from Muremo added: "On behalf of Muremo, the Bergerault range of instruments is perfectly suited to the best brass bands and especially the Double Champions Foden's.

There are many synergies with both organisations and we hope this will be a long and mutually beneficial partnership. We are also delighted to be involved with the 3rd Foden's Solo Contest where we will be the main sponsors of the new percussion classes."
