European set works announced

The intriguing list of own choice selections to be played by the bands at the European Championships in Oslo have been announced.

The European Brass Band Association has revealed the list of own choice works to be used by competing bands in the Championship Section in Olso on May 4th

New works and premieres

As well as playing the set work, ‘Myth Forest’ (Hestefallstjonn) by Stig Nordhagen, the audience at the Oslo Konserthus will also get to hear two world premieres from Peter Meechan and Philip Sparke, a trio of former European Championship set works, and at last three compositions new to the contest.

The own choice selections are as follows:
