Philip Morris of Kapitol Promotions has responded to the latest statement by Brass Bands England over their decision carry on running the British Brass Band Registry.
In it they stated that they 'would not allow Kapitol to take over the registry of players in England without a fight.'
Confusion
He told 4BR: "Asking bands to renew BBBR cards is an irresponsible act in my view, and is designed to lead to confusion that may result in bands having to pay twice when there is no need.
Brass Bands England would do well to concentrate its publicly-funded efforts on the needs of its member bands rather than continuing to prolong this campaign, especially when the overwhelming majority of English bands have shown their support for the National Championships."

Assured
He added: "We have been assured that all the major contests will accept Brass Band Players cards and therefore when band’s cards expire they should be renewed through BBP and all transfers from now on should also be effected through BBP.
Furthermore, BBP has set out to ensure a stable and efficient registry, and judging from the early reactions from the regions we have achieved this and carried out all registrations and transfers in time for the regional championships."
