4BR has been informed that the Lancashire Contests Tameside Open, supported by Tameside MBC has been cancelled due to lack of support.

Regret

A spokesperson told 4BR: "It is with regret that the Trustees of Lancashire Contests announces that due to the low number of entries this year, we have had no alternative but to cancel the event."

The contest was to have taken place at Dukinfield Town Hall on Sunday 24th March, and 4BR understands that although support had been forthcoming it had not reached a viable number of entrants.

No news has been announced about a possible event in 2014.
