Clues

Inspired musicians as diverse as Paul Simon, Henry Purcell and an early version of the Blue Oyster Cult, but didn’t play for Liverpool in the 1965 FA Cup Final. By all accounts occasionally played the organ though.

Closing date:

All answers for this one must be in by midnight on Sunday 17th February.

Last Winner

We had a great response to last week’s quiz, with Norman Short in Sheffield knowing that was Ron Greenwood who was the beleaguered England football manager when they famously lost to Norway in a World Cup qualifier in 1981, leading to the commentator Bjorge Lillelien unforgettably exclaiming: "Lord Nelson! Lord Beaverbrook! Sir Winston Churchill! Sir Anthony Eden! Clement Attlee! Henry Cooper! Lady Diana! Maggie Thatcher — can you hear me, Maggie Thatcher! Your boys took one hell of a beating! Your boys took one hell of a beating!"
