Foden's set to manage future growth

Double champions appoint new Band Manager as they set sights on future music and management development.

Fodens in action

The Foden’s Band has implemented a new management structure to help cope with the increasing demands placed on the 2012 ‘Double’ champions.

Significant changes

Band spokesperson Andy Rolfe told 4BR: "Since winning the ‘Double’ we have looked closely at our management structure and decided to make a number of significant changes to help achieve our long term goals."

He added: "With expert advice we have made the decision to appoint a Band Manager to be a focal point between our normal committee, trustees, new supervisory board and new liaison committee.

We believe we found the perfect person for the role too, in Mark Wilkinson, who not only understands the band and the art of management but also displays a sincere passion for what Foden's is all about."

Highly respected

The highly respected principal cornet meanwhile added: "I’m delighted to have been appointed to the new role, which brings with it so many exciting possibilities to benefit Foden’s Band.

These certainly include more high profile self promoted concerts and greater artistic liaison with our compositional team of Andy Scott and Peter Meechan."

These are very exciting times for Foden’s Band, and these changes will enable the band to develop and grow in the coming years based on a solid organisational foundationAndy Rolfe
