Local area round up in Skelmanthorpe

If you want to hear all the area test pieces before the action starts in Bradford then get to Skelmanthorpe.

Skelmanthorpe

The Skelmanthorpe Band has announced that they will once again run a Regional test piece preview night ahead of the Area championships which start in Bradford in March.

Local bands

The evening will be held on Saturday 23rd February from 6.30pm at Pilling Lane Chapel, Skelmanthorpe, with a local band from each section invited to perform the works that will hopefully send them either to London or Cheltenham later in the year.

No judges

A spokesperson told 4BR: "There are no judges, but hopefully plenty of supporters to offer their opinions on the playing and the pieces themselves!"

There is a nominal £2.00 entrance fee to non players to help towards the running costs
