Great news

Director of Music Dr Nicholas Childs called the appointment, ‘great news’, whilst Bob revealed that the appointment had been something the famous brothers had talked about for some time.

"It’s great news to have Bob on board," he said. "He will conduct 50% of our concerts and will work with me in preparing the band for competitions."

Together

Meanwhile, Bob added: "This is something that Nick and I have talked about for some time and I'm delighted that it has finally come to fruition. This renewed partnership is not dissimilar to the great times we had performing together many years ago."

Professor Philip Wilby, is also delighted that the former Cory MD will be joining the creative team at the current English and Yorkshire champions.

"Bob will become a full time member of the creative team, and we look forward to him renewing his long term relationship with Black Dyke, working closely with his brother Nicholas."
