The Leicestershire Co-op Band has announced the death of their long standing Chairman, Jim Ball on 19th January.
Jim was a well known figure locally, serving on the Leicestershire Brass Band Association Committee, and dedicating over 40 years of service to the Co-op Band, over 30 of them as a fine chairman.
Much missed
MD Graham Jacklin told 4BR: "Jim will be much missed. Although he never played, he was always at rehearsals and never missed a concert or contest despite his health and mobility failing in later years."
The funeral will take place at Hugglescote Church on 31st January at 10:45am. Any past or associated players who would like to play should contact Graham Jacklin by email graham.jacklin@btinternet.com
