The Rainford Band has announced it is parting company with MD Neil Samuel.

Hugely successful

It follows a hugely successful eight year partnership which has seen the band rise from Third Section to Championship Section status.

The decision, following Neil’s resignation for personal reasons, was announced by Band Chairman Paul Rigby.

He has taken Rainford to a level that few of us would have dreamed of when he was offered the jobChairman, Paul Rigby

New level

He said: "It is with much sadness that Rainford’s association with Neil has now come to an end. However, I would like to pay tribute to the fantastic work he has done with the band during his years with us.

He has taken Rainford to a level that few of us would have dreamed of when he was offered the job. His musical abilities are of the highest level and he leaves with our very best wishes for the future.”

Rainford will make announcement regarding the vacant MD’s position in the near future.
