West of England Area confirms BBP Registry to apply

The bands wishing to take part in the West of England Regional Championships must be signed up with the Kapitol backed Brass Band Players Registry.

The Council of West of England Brass Band Associations has confirmed that all competing bands at the 2013 West of England Regional Championship must be registered with Brass Band Players Ltd Registry if they are to take part in the event.

Riviera

The West of England Regional Championships will take place on the weekend of Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th March 2013 at the Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay.

The closing date for entries remains as 12th January 2013, and it was also stated that late entries will not be accepted.

BBP Registry

Official confirmation was given by Championship Controller Brian Elliott: “Bands are reminded the National Rules effective from 1st November 2012 will be strictly adhered to together with the condition of entry that all bands and players be registered with Brass Band Players Ltd.”

He added: "The registration procedure must be completed by no later than Friday 1st March 2013. Please do not wait to receive the registration documents before submitting your entry."
