Drighlington help shine the light

The Drighlington Band has helped shine a light on the wonderful work of their local hospice.

Drighlington

The Drighlington Band, who has recently become a registered charity itself has continued to help a charitable cause of their own at their local St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.

Light a Life

Recently they performed at the ‘Light a Life’ Service the Hospice for a 15th time, providing musical entertainment for staff, patients and families around the special Christmas Trees which stand in the grounds and which is lit by thousands of lights in memory of each individual who benefitted from the wonderful care provided by the Hospice in the last period of their lives.

The lights will remain lit until 6th January and can be viewed at any time.

Drighlington intend to continue with this tradition and to play at this ceremony and take an active part in this wonderful service for many more years to comeDrighlington Band

Wonderful service

Linda Whitaker from the band told 4BR: "Drighlington intend to continue with this tradition and to play at this ceremony and take an active part in this wonderful service for many more years to come."
