Fresh from their runner up finish at the Brass in Concert Championship at The Sage Gateshead on the weekend, the Leyland Band has enjoyed further event success, with the news that the performance of the communal ‘Preston Passion’ held on Good Friday this year has won a prestigious Royal Television Society North West Award.

Leyland played a central role in providing a substantial amount of the music for the production, which saw a cast of thousands of people play out the Easter biblical story.
The production won the 'Best Live Event' category at the Royal Television Society North West Awards – which was seen by millions worldwide broadcast on BBC1.
