In a specially extended programme Frank Renton looks back at some 2012 banding highlights.

These include an Olympic commission for Black Dyke, the Fairey Band at 75, Philip Cobb's standing ovation at the European Gala Concert, Ewan Easton's inspirational work using brass music with young offenders and the 125th anniversary of the British Bandsman magazine.
