The East Riding of Yorkshire Band has welcomed two new players to their ranks.

Cornet and tuba

Elizabeth Hartley joins as the new assistant principal cornet, whilst Daniel Towey comes in on Eb tuba.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Liz is a multi talented musician who for the past eight years has played for the likes Dinnington, Chapeltown and Hatfield before moving to Deepcar as principal cornet. She also plays viola and sings at Hull University where she now studies Music and Theatre."

Progress

They added: "Dan has progressed through a number of wind instruments to finally play the tuba most recently with the Worcestershire Youth Brass and Wind Bands. His is also a fine clarinet player and is currently in his final year at university studying Sport Rehabilitation."
