There will be an early start for the wonderful girls of Boobs & Brass next Saturday when they leave Northamptonshire for their journey north.
Joining forces
The girls will be collecting their Boobies on the way up the M1, to Bacup, Lancashire, where they will join forces with the 2nd Rossendale Scout Band to raise funds for cancer charities.
After listening to their latest CD — `More Than Brass` — Graham Helm, MD of the Scout Band, thought it would be a great idea to get both bands together and so all 12 female members of the Scout Band will be wearing the now famous pink jackets to become part of this unique one off event.
Currently, their total fund raising since forming six years ago is £97,000 and they are hoping to raise £100,000 by the end of the year4BR
Grateful
Maggie Betts told 4BR: "We are very grateful of the opportunity to perform in another part of the UK and we thank Graham and all the rest of their very organised team for inviting us. We are certainly looking forward to it."
The evening promises to be one of fun, entertainment and a few surprises. All the proceeds will be donated to Cancer Charities and hopefully, by the end of the night, the 2nd Rossendale Scout Band will have helped Boobs & Brass to achieve their 2012 target.
