Holling takes the lead on the Silk road to success

The experienced David Holling is the new man at the helm of Silk Brass.

Silk Brass has announced the appointment of David Holling as their new professional Musical Director, with Jim Cant working alongside him as Associate Conductor.

Multi faceted

The multi faceted musician has enjoyed considerable success in his musical career after gaining his first class honours in contemporary music at Huddersfield University, leading a number of bands to high level contesting success.

Highly motivated

Band Chairman Andrew Snelson, told 4BR: "David is a highly motivated musician and has strong leadership skills which will take Silk Brass into a new chapter. With his experience and knowledge we're hoping to see the band secure its First Section status and progress and broaden the bands musical repertoire."

Tintwistle Band

September 11 • We have a vacancy for soprano cornet, and with lots of exciting engagements coming up we would love to get this seat filled! . As a second section band, we rehearse every Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our own bandroom in Tintwistle.
