Texas Star Brass Band has announced the appointment of Dr. Brian Bowman as their new Musical Director.

Experience

Band President Jonathan Kramer told 4BR: "Brian brings with him a wealth of knowledge and an invaluable amount of brass band experience to the role of musical director."

Distinguished career

Brian is a former principal euphonium player in the premier bands of both the United States Navy and United States Air Force and also performed the first euphonium recital at Carnegie Hall back in 1976.

He continues to enjoy a distinguished career as a euphonium soloist and recording artist and is currently Professor of Euphonium at the University of North Texas.
