Leicestershire Open still open

There is still time to get your entries in for the forthcoming Leicester Open in November.

Leicester Association

The Leicestershire Brass Band Association has reminded bands that they still have time to enter the Leicester Open Contest to be held in Loughborough, Leicestershire on Sunday 25th November.

There are six sections available with this year’s adjudicating panel consisting of David Read MBE (Open Section), John Roberts (1st), Brett Baker (2nd & 3rd) and David Thornton (4th & Unregistered).

Higher section

Secretary Lesley Bentley told 4BR: "As in previous years, bands competing outside of the Championship section are permitted to enter a section higher than their own, provided they also compete in their own section.

Bands entering more than one section must play a different test piece in each section."

#pqPre-draw

The association has also reminded bands that responding to feedback and requests from participating bands, a pre-draw system will be used for all sections.

Closing date

The closing date for entries to the Leicester Open is Saturday 6th October.
