The Butlins Mineworkers Festival Contest Administrator Brian Eggleshaw has informed 4BR that he wishes to remind bands that the closing date for entries for the 2013 Festival at Skegness is Saturday 6th October.

Fantastic response

He told 4BR: "We have had a fantastic response once again, but we do have a few places that we can accommodate in the Second, Third and Fourth Sections."

He added: "I would also remind contest secretaries that if any band has sent in their entry form and cheque and has not yet received acknowledgement then please contact me a soon as possible. I ensure that all bands that wish to take part are contacted, so if you have not heard anything as yet, please give me a call."
