4BR has been informed of the death of Glenys Evans, a long time stalwart of the Abertillery & District Band, who passed away on Sunday 2nd September.

Glenys was the wife of David Evans, Secretary of the South East Wales Brass Band Association, and mother to Dean and Leslie, both currently actively involved in the Abertillery & District Band.

Funeral arrangements

Funeral arrangements have been made for Friday September 14th at 11.00am at St Michael's Church, Abertillery, with internment at noon at Brynithel Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Corner Club Abertillery

There is a request for no flowers with donations to the Welsh Air Ambulance Service.
