The Llwydcoed Band from South Wales has announced the departure of its long standing MD, Gary Davies following their recent victory at the Welsh National Eisteddfod in Llandow.

Success

Band spokesperson, Craig Maunder told 4BR: "We are sad to announce the successful partnership between Llwydcoed and Gary has come to an end – especially after the recent victory at the National Eisteddfod."

During his three year tenure, Llwydcoed claimed three successive qualification places for the Cheltenham National Finals, twice won the National Eisteddfod title, became Welsh League Champions and gained promotion from the Third to the First Section.

We can't thank Gary enough for taking the band through three highly successful years, and we are sorry that the partnership has to end due to our promotion to the First SectionLlwydcoed Band

Thanks

Band Chairman Kevin Johnson added: "We can't thank Gary enough for taking the band through three highly successful years, and we are sorry that the partnership has to end due to our promotion to the First Section.

Everyone connected with Llwydcoed wish Gary every success for his future in banding."

The band will announce its new Musical Director shortly.
