The Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) has secured long term sponsorship commitment from instrument manufacturing giant Besson (Buffet Group).
Three year
Following negotiations between Tim Barrett, National Sales Manager for Besson, and SBBA Commercial Development Manager, John Hamilton, a three year partnership agreement has been secured.
John Hamilton told 4BR: "This agreement will be a cornerstone in SBBA’s strategy to bring on board corporate sponsors to assist us in furthering our world leading youth development programme.
To have a secured the resources and expertise which the Buffet Group bring through Besson, is the realisation of a dream scenario. I am hugely indebted to Tim for recognising the genuine symbiosis which exists between our two organisations and I look forward to working closely with him over the coming years."

Integral part
In response, Besson’s Tim Barrett added: "Support of music education has always been an integral part of our philosophy at Buffet-Group. The benefits of music in the development of the life skills is well known, and we are delighted that at a time of financial pressure we can support SBBA's activities through our Besson brand."
