Details of the forthcoming Leicester Open Contest have been announced by organisers.

The popular event, with six sections, will be held in Loughborough on Sunday 25th November.

Judges

This year’s adjudicating panel consists of David Read (Open), John Roberts (First), Brett Baker (Second & Third) and David Thornton (Fourth & Unregistered).

Bands competing outside of the Championship Section are permitted to enter a section higher, provided they also compete in their own section. Bands entering more than one section must play a different test piece.

Pre-draw

4BR has been informed that in response to the wishes of participating and member bands, the association has agreed to proceed with a pre-draw system for all sections.

We are continually looking at ways to accommodate as many bands participating as we can, and are always keen to respond to requests of our bandsSecretary, Lesley Bentley

Delighted

Leicestershire Association Secretary Lesley Bentley told 4BR: "We are continually looking at ways to accommodate as many bands participating as we can, and are always keen to respond to requests of our bands. We are delighted by the number of early expressions of interest in this contest already!”

The closing date for entries to the Leicester Open is Saturday 6th October.

LBBA Solo Duet & Quartet Contest:
