With the band still to announce a permanent replacement for former MD Philip Harper, well known freelance conductor Steve Sykes will be at the helm for the concert which will see the band participate in the ‘Brass the Baton’ initiative by performing the Paul Lovatt-Cooper work, ‘Going the Distance’.
Working with both conductors is a great learning experience for the band and we'd like to thank both of them for their supportChairman, Jason Bevan

He added: "We're really pleased to have the opportunity to work with Steve and it's shaping up to be a great concert."
The band will then head for the Pershore Festival, where they will by former Cory MD, Dr Robert Childs.
