Otley family set for music on the moors

The two bands that make up the Otley Brass Band family are getting ready to celebrate music from the moors of Yorkshire under Gordon Eddison.

The two bands that make up the Otley Brass Band ‘family’ – Wharfe Brass and Otley Band are looking forward to the launch of their brand new CD entitled, ‘Otley Bands-on Ilkley Moor" later this month.

Over 50 players

Conductor Gordon Eddison worked together with over 50 players to produce the recording in association with Music House Productions and the release will include an arrangement of the famous Yorkshire tune by David Lancaster.

The band has deliberately produced the CD with a strong Yorkshire theme, with ‘Sally’s Army’, one of the region’s fast-emerging quality local ladies choir, led by Sally Egan also featured.

We hope it is music that will suit most people who like bands and are as proud of Yorkshire – and Ilkley Moor as we areMD, Gordon Eddison

Quality

Gordon told 4BR: "This CD has taken a lot of preparation and we are grateful to have been able to secure the top quality services of Music House Productions. We hope it is music that will suit most people who like bands and are as proud of Yorkshire – and Ilkley Moor as we are."
