An early entry is a joy for Gray

Russell and Marieka Gray want to say thanks after their early arrival gets amazing care.

The early arrival of Russell and Marieka Gray’s new son Angus (above), who was born seven weeks prematurely on 25th May, has prompted the duo to help raise much needed funds for the neo natal unit at Warrington Hospital, where their son received treatment.

Early appearance

Russell told 4BR: "Angus certainly put in an early appearance, but the care he was given at the hospital was nothing short of remarkable. The staff were simply wonderful, so we are hoping that we can show our gratitude by giving something back in return."

Family

That something will be a special free family charity concert which will feature the Milnrow Band, where Marieka is Musical Director, and which will take place on the 21st July at Warrington Salvation Army Hall.

Fun

"We want it to be a fun event, so we want as many babies and children there as possible," Russell added. "It’s going to be family orientated entertainment from the band – so be prepared to get involved with a big Proms style finish."

Russell and Marieka are certainly enjoying their new arrival – whilst Angus will also get his first taste of brass banding at the event.

Progress

"He’s made fantastic progress and is ready to enjoy his first taste of what we hope will be a life-long passion for brass bands. Without the care he received at the hospital we wouldn’t be able to look forward to all the joy and sleepless nights that are to come!"
