Foden's has announced that they have launched the Foden's Youth Band to be run in partnership with the Love Music Trust and the Royal Northern College of Music.
Opportunities
Project Co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck told 4BR: "The aim is to provide opportunities for young brass and percussion players from Cheshire, and further afield, to perform together and receiving guidance from world class conductors and performers connected with Foden's Band."
The first rehearsal will take place on September 30th, and will run once a month with opportunities for members to take part in full rehearsals, sectionals, workshops and master-classes.
Key figure
The Love Music Trust is a new music hub for Cheshire East, spearheaded by Sandbach School.
Foden's Band Chairman John Barber has been a key figure in the successful hub bid and will now continue to work with the trust in enhancing music provision for Cheshire schools.

Links
Ian Raisbeck added: "For the past 15 years Foden's have been heavily involved in youth education. The Youth Band will have music commissioned by our composition team and will be conducted by Michael Fowles and Mark Bousie.
Our new link with Royal Northern College of Music will also enable brass students, composers and conductors from the RNCM opportunities to gain experience with all parts of the Foden’s organisation."
