Leyland looking for re-union

The Leyland Band is looking to meet up with old and new friends...

Leyland Band

To celebrate the recent acquisition of rehearsal premises in their hometown, the Leyland Band is to hold a grand reunion.

The event will take place following the band’s concert on the 16th September in Chorley Town Hall.

Host

Hosted by MD Emeritus Richard Evans, the evening will end with a celebratory ‘mass blow’.

Richard Evans told 4BR: "There has always been a great spirit in Leyland Band and we want to celebrate our homecoming with players and friends past and present. I’m looking forward to meeting up with them all for an evening of fun and plenty of nostalgia!"

We expect many of our ex players and partners will join us in the afternoon for the matinee concert and stay on for fun and the odd repetition of stories long toldRichard Evans

Association

Richard told 4BR that following the event, the band intend to form an ex players association maintaining the camaraderie and to provide a channel to get involved and support the current band.

"We expect many of our ex players and partners will join us in the afternoon for the matinee concert and stay on for fun and the odd repetition of stories long told!" Richard added: "I look forward to meeting up with as many of our friends as possible."
