The Hatfield Band has announced that two of their stalwart players have received well deserved awards for 50 years of banding service.

Delight

Peter Kennedy and Margaret Curran were presented with certificates by Yorkshire Regional Secretary, Peggy Tomlinson, who expressed her delight that the awards were being given to people who had given such dedicated service to one particular band.

Highs and lows

Margaret Curran told 4BR: "Both Pete and myself have always been with Hatfield Band. We have had our highs and lows, but our great pride has been able to help them grow from a Fourth Section to a Championship Section band."
