The double All England Masters champion Tredegar will be going into ‘Battle’ to play a central part in Bolsover District Council’s forthcoming Olympic Torch Relay Celebrations.
Breathtaking
The band will lead the culmination of a day long series of events in a breathtaking ‘Olympicnic Celebrations’ at the historic Bolsover Castle on June 29th, where throughout the day over 3000 people will enjoy arts and sports activities.
Brass band music will be played throughout the areas torch relay celebration – with Pleasley Colliery Welfare Band set to perform a special fanfare written for the occasion by Philip Harper entitled, ‘Legacy’, whilst Blidworth Band will perform a concert as the torch reaches their local area.
Climax
However, the climax at 7.30pm will see Tredegar lead the celebrations in the stunning surroundings of the inner court of Bolsover Castle, where their programme of easy listening music will include Beethoven's ‘Battle Symphony’ complete with canons, musket fire with trumpet fanfares from the castle walls.

Tickets
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Tickets are £6 and £4 for concessions for under 16 and over 65. Tickets are limited so please get your tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Bring your own chairs, blankets and picnic and celebrate this once in a lifetime event."
Film
The event is also being filmed and projected live onto a big screen in the outer court of the castle for those that cannot get tickets.
Entry to the Outer Court is free of charge.
