It was a bright and sunny morning on the famous Menai Bridge that links Anglesey to mainland Wales when the Red Baton from the 'Brass the Baton' relay met up with the Olympic Torch for the first time this week.

Baton & Torch

Members of Menai Bridge Band (Band Pres Porthaethwy) had an early morning start when they assembled on the bridge to welcome the Olympic Torch to the island.

Huge crowd

A huge crowd of onlookers enjoyed the early morning music and were thrilled to hear the band's performance of 'Going the Distance'.
