Pride Parade gains brass support in Sheffield

The first Pride Parade in Sheffield will be helped along by a good bit of brass from the Woodhouse Prize Band.

Brassed Off

The Woodhouse Prize Band from Sheffield will be supporting The Centre for HIV and Sexual Health, part of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for the very first Pride Parade to be held in the city this weekend.

Celebrate

On Saturday morning the event will celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) life and will see a march through Sheffield towards Endcliffe Park where ‘Sheffield Pride’ will be taking place, starting at 12 noon, with seven hours of live music, stalls, workshops and family activities.

Support

The band will be supporting the Centre for HIV & Sexual Health's theme of ‘Brassed off with Homophobia’ and will be showcasing music from the epic film ‘Brassed Off’ along with other well-known pop tunes.
